Augusta, Ga. (March 23, 2015) - Club Car President and CEO Marc Dufour presented a check for $10,000 to the Folds of Honor Foundation on Friday, March 20. The organization sponsors scholarships for dependents of veterans who were disabled or killed in service to our nation.The check was presented at Club Car’s corporate offices in Augusta, Ga., after a moving presentation by Allen Wronowski, who accepted the check on behalf of the foundation.  Mr. Wronowski is honorary president of the PGA of America and director of golf development and relations for the Folds of Honor.“Club Car is very pleased to partner with this organization that’s doing such wonderful work honoring American patriots and caring for their families,” say Dufour.

(March 24, 2015) – Owners of 48-volt electric Club Car Precedent golf cars, Carryall utility vehicles and Villager LSVs can now capture, store and use solar power with the addition of Club Car’s new 100-watt Solar Drive Charging Panel Assembly.“As the world’s largest manufacturer of small four-wheel electric vehicles, Club Car is offering this new accessory to help our consumer, golf and commercial customers decrease grid charging and increase range on these vehicles,” says Randall Crook, Club Car’s interim aftermarket marketing manager.As a yearly average, the system generates 29 percent of the total energy required to drive eight miles per day in West Palm Beach, Fla. That reduces the energy needed to recharge the battery by 29 percent. Results may vary depending on area and usage.

Augusta, GA. – All new Club Car compact XRT™800 and XRT™850 utility transport vehicles (UTVs) manufactured after April will feature powerful new Subaru 14-hp rated, 404-cc, single-cylinder overhead cam engines with electronic fuel injection (EFI). “EFI technology replaced carburetors on automobiles during the 1980s and 1990s, and is not uncommon on larger, more expensive UTVS. But it’s far from industry standard on compact UTVs, largely because of high development and production cost,” says Ross Lyons, product manager of the company’s utility platform. “Yet EFI makes a tremendous difference in performance.”
