ATV riding has always been a family sport and that means everyone in the family shares the adventure. It doesn’t take much coaxing to introduce a new rider to ATVing, and they usually take to it like ducks to water. It’s important to make sure junior gets started correctly, however, and with literally dozens of youth quads available, we wanted to list the ones that pass our inspection for quality, safety, and complete OEM support from sales, to parts, to safety.

There are, quite possible, many times in an editor’s daily duties, when one might pause in the midst of various editorial activities, look around at their surroundings and breathe a deep sigh, thinking to oneself “How did I ever get so lucky to have been given this job?”

Spring is Mother Nature’s payback for her debt of winter. The first bright, balmy days coax tulips from the wet ground, grass springs to life with the first warm rain, and invariably your neighbor fires up his old lawnmower just to be sure you didn’t forget the joys he and his Briggs & Stratton dole out for anyone in a half mile radius. No worries though; spring is the season of eternal hope when all is right with the world and many people long to plant something of their own in Mother Earth to watch it grow.

If you’re the owner of a Can-Am Commander you have a lot to be happy about. In all of our miles and testing with our Commander we haven’t found much negative to say about them. They have great power, excellent ergonomics, and over-the-top features that put many other UTVs in the runner-up position. The handling of the Commander is also very good, but several times we did wish that the base and XT packages had the precise steering and flat cornering of the X package. Fortunately, that flat handling is only as far away as your local dealership.
