Regardless of the season, our testing never stops. In rainy, cold, or just plain nasty conditions, that can mean a less than comfortable ride. One vehicle that sees almost daily use is our Polaris Ranger. Whether on a trail ride or wood hauling duty, like anybody else, we look for extra comfort where we can find it. When the snow began to fly last winter, it was time for a little more protection.

Making an all weather John Deere 620 XUVi

As a boy, every day was filled with adventures around the farm.  A daily trip through the woods was seemingly required as well, either on foot, by bicycle, on a little Suzuki dirt bike, or eventually, on an ATV.  No weather was too formidable, and no chance to explore was missed.

Can-Am Releases the Most Anticipated Side-x-Side in Years

It's been over 5 years since the speculation, supposed sightings, and internet conjuring began. Loyal Can-Am fans and Side x Side enthusiasts riding every other brand have been waiting to see the latest innovative off road machine designed by the high performance crew from Valcourt, Quebec. While a few speculated that any new model would surely be designed only for utilitarian work, permanently resigned to construction or farm duty, those who studied the Can-Am design philosophy across their other product lines expected nothing less than cutting edge performance.

The Best Ever?

Most manufacturers have nightmares about extra unaccounted passengers on any vehicle they build. For years, the rule of thumb with ATVs was "one seat and one set of pegs equals one rider only." A trip to almost any riding area more than illustrated the real world practice of people riding double, however, and although we ALWAYS follow proper safety practices and do everything we can to encourage others to do so as well, we could see the point of riding double in some cases. It was only natural to take your significant other along for an enjoyable day of exploration.

The Best of Both Worlds

As UTV manufacturers continue the process of refining and evolving their product lines, the mid-size segment of this market especially keeps getting better and better. Among the major players in the 4x4 mid-size segments are the Mule 610, the Ranger 400, the Club Car XRT950 and the new Husqvarna 4414. Husky's entry is the poster child for the philosophy of "less is more", but it offers all the goodies that mainstream UTV owners desire, such as four-wheel independent suspension, “shift-on-the-fly” four-wheel drive, sealed CVT, tilt-bed and a rugged brush guard.
